What kind of training is required for Cub Scout leaders?

Properly trained leaders are very important to the Boy Scouts of America. Their goal is for 100% of their leaders to be fully trained.

If you are a new leader you will need the following training: Cub Scout Fast Start Leader Training (Go to http://www.atlantabsa.org/training.htm to complete this training online and let the Pack's Committee Chair know once you have completed it so they can keep our pack records up-to-date); Indoor Leader Training (It is taught twice a year, usually in October and February. You get a lot of valuable information in this class.); Youth Protection Training (You can take this training at the Atlanta BSA website as well or you can watch the Pack video. If you would prefer to watch the video, please let the Pack's Committee Chair know and we'll get you the video.)

There is also some additional training that should be taken before you take your Cub Scouts camping. Please let the Pack's Committee Chair know if you need additional information on this outdoor leader training.
