AAC event: Webelos Encampment

When: Wednesday, July 7, 2010

Where: Bert Adams Scout Reservation

Additional Information:

Webelos Encampment will offer a fun filled journey that your Webelos Scouts will talk about for years to come. Our goals at Webelos encampment include providing opportunities to complete a number of the advancement requirements on the trail to the Arrow of Light award. But we’ll also make sure that your Webelos have an exciting, fun-filled time at camp, whetting their appetites for the adventure of Boy Scout summer camp in the years ahead.

What we’ll do at camp: Webelos Scouts attending the summer Encampment will get to do a wide range of activities. First year Webelos Scouts may choose three (3) activity pins to work on at camp, plus two (2) other activities they’d like to do “just-for-fun.” The activity pins offered at camp will include: Aquanaut, Naturalist, Geologist, Forester, Sportsman, Readyman, Outdoorsman, Showman, Craftsman, and Artist. Scientist will be offered during the weeklong Encampment only.

Webelos Outback Adventure: The Outback Adventure program is a special program that only Webelos II scouts can participate in. During this program, the scouts will go on a special outpost camping trip where they will learn the patrol method and how to camp as a Boy Scout. Scouts will get the opportunity to prepare their own meals, set up their own camping site, and many more Boy Scout skills. Important note: Only 60 participants per session so get your reservation in early!

All boys currently registered as Bears (rising Webelos) or first-year (rising second-year) Webelos Scouts can attend.
